Victim Identified: Deadly shooting on city's east side | News

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- A deadly shooting on Cleveland's east side.
It happened just before 4:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 169th Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the head. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 39-year-old Carlos Coates.
Witnesses say Coates was fighting with two suspects, when one pulled out a handgun and opened fire.
The suspects then fled in a dark-colored vehicle.
