Carjacking at Cleveland park under investigation | News
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)-
A violent carjacking at a park on the city's east side.
It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kerruish Park in Cleveland.
19 Action News has learned the victim is 56-year-old Anthony Burnside.
Police say Burnside went to Kerruish Park to meet with two males. The relationship between the victim and the suspects is still under investigation, as is the reason for the meeting.
The victim reported that upon meeting with the males he exited his vehicle near the pavilion area. He said this is when one of the males pulled out a gun and demanded victim's property. Victim reports that he was then pistol whipped and suspects took his vehicle, upon driving off, they shot at him.
The vehicle is four-door 1998 gold Chrysler Concord. The Ohio license plate number is FLG6012.
The suspects remain on the run. Both are described as black males with dark complexions and "low" "fade" haircuts. Both suspects reportedly are missing several front teeth.
One suspect is 5'10"/170 wearing a dark t-shirt and gray shorts and the second is 5'10"/200 wearing a yellow shirt.
Cleveland Police believe the victim was selling fireworks when the crime took place.

Burnside has since been treated and released from Marymount Hospital.
